Annual Breast Exams Are Key

BCS_Blog_DTOP_BelowTitle_336x280

My mother died of breast cancer in 2001; she was fifty-one. I was diagnosed with a benign cyst in my right breast, and ever since, have had a breast examination annually. In the same year, my aunt died due to complications from breast cancer and a diabetic coma. It’s hereditary.

At thirty-eight, I am still alive and well. I push myself to stay healthy, and do what is necessary in order to live. I challenge you to fight, and to know that you have control of your life. The cancer does not have control over you. Keep fighting. One love.
