Creative types seeking a way to help out with a worthy cause can look to the Art Bra Auction. According to the The Daily Telegram, entries are now being accepted for anyone wanting to paint artwork on a brasserie canvas for the event. The proceeds from the auction will go toward new breast imaging equipment for a health center in Tecumseh, Mich.

The entries are due on Feb. 3 and will be on display at the Bidwell Building, 102 W. Chicago Blvd in Tecumseh. The fundraising auction is slated for Feb. 13 at 6 p.m. at the Women's Health Center at the ProMedica Herrick Hospital.

"Invest in the breasts and help raise money for the fight against breast cancer and other women's health issues by submitting your interpretation of bra art using your favorite medium," Dr. Julie Yaroch, administrative director of the Women's Health Center, said according to the source.

There are similar bra art-themed events in Austin, Texas, and New Haven, Conn. The latter is an annual auction featuring bras and other fine art pieces. Up to 30 items are sold live while modeled on a runway. Uninsured patients at the Smilow Cancer Hospital will benefit from the proceeds.
