After Breast Cancer Altered Her Range of Motion, She Changed the Way She Created Art

After battling breast cancer, Tressa Sularz had a complete change of art. A traditional basket weaver, the Minneapolis artist was forced to change her weaving technique, as she was no longer able to hold her arms out as she had before. Adopting traditional weaving techniques, her contemporary woven artwork has not only changed in its process, but also in its meaning. Her new work embodies the transition she has undergone since her diagnosis, and her journey from a place of darkness to a place of self-love and acceptance.

Find out more about her craft in this video.
