The D.C. Pink Divas are on a mission to educate and support women of color in D.C. They travel to different parts of the area, including the workplace and church, to give out information about breast cancer as well as offer advice about prevention.

The Divas include about 20 volunteers, and so far they’ve reached about 10,000 women in the district! Eventually they’d like to work with high school students as well. Executive Director Shyrea Thompson says, “It started as a dream, and it’s certainly become a vision, which is so exciting.”
