Waitress Tries to Thank Restaurant Patrons for Generous Tip and Gets an Even Better Offer

Cayla Chandara was working hard at two different restaurant jobs in Waikiki, including Noi Thai Cuisine, where she waited on an Australian couple one day. They immediately hit it off and chatted for a while about their lives.

“They asked me where I was from, and I told them I moved here for school but I was kind of in a little bit of debt and I couldn’t go back to school, because I couldn’t afford it and the cost of living here,” Chandara said.

She had no idea how touched they were by her story until they had already paid their tab and gone on their way.

After the couple left, Chandara was shocked to find that they’d left her a $400 tip. She wanted to thank them and luckily remembered which hotel they’d told her they were staying at. She rushed there after work with flowers and a thank-you card to show her gratitude for the kind gesture.

The next day, the couple returned to the restaurant with another goal in mind. Watch the video below to discover what these two kind souls were planning next, and what Chandara’s reaction was.
