My Pink Story

On my 35th birthday I learned I had Stage 3 Infiltrating Duct Carcinoma Triple Negative breast cancer. It was November 1, 2011 when I heard that shocking news. In the beginning I felt scared but I kept my eyes on the Lord and that comforted me. I am full of faith. I’ve just had my sixth chemotherapy of 16. I lost my hair at day 14 of my first chemo, and my body underwent many changes, but I discovered something so much more important: the support and love of your family and friends can make the difference. I have faith and it sounds crazy but I am enjoying my process. It’s not easy but my cancer is teaching me to enjoy life, keep the faith, and trust in my Lord.
