Olivia Newton-John to walk in mini marathon for breast cancer awareness.

“Grease” star and breast cancer survivor Olivia Newton-John has signed up for the OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon, according to IndyStar. The actress and singer will be walking through the race track with her nephew Emerson Newton-John, a professional driver for the Firestone Indy Lights series.

The event is a 13.1 mile race taking place on May 3, 2014, in downtown Indianapolis. It’s the largest half-marathon in the country and 35,000 participants take part each year.

According to the source, Olivia Newton-John is walking for Pink and Blue For Two. The organization works toward promoting prostate and breast cancer awareness.

“This is bigger than we ever hoped for, getting to be a part of the Mini-Marathon,” Emerson Newton-John told the source.

Additionally, there is a special chance to be able to walk with the Newton-Johns on mini marathon day.

Wellness is very important to Olivia Newton-John, so much so that she has a cancer center named after her. The Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre is located at Austin Hospital in Melbourne, Australia, and provides treatment and conducts research in the field.
