Dana Donofree found a lump in her breast in January 2010. She was officially diagnosed a day before her 28th birthday.

After going through treatment, she felt a deep loss of sexuality — and the idea for her company AnaOno Intimates was born.

“What people don’t understand is that your femininity gets stripped away,” she says in the video below. “You first lose your breasts, and then lose your hair, and then you lose your eyebrows. You don’t have any of that to kind of ramp up your sexuality.”

She wanted to give survivors something sexy to wear, and in turn, lift their spirits. So she created lingerie specifically designed for them.

“There are so many things that you have to worry about as you’re going through this journey. I don’t want the underwear drawer to be one of them.”

Learn more about Dana and her company in the video below! And to see survivors rocking her designs, check out our post here!
